Igor’s work published in npj Quantum Materials!

Congratulations to Igor, Zeppelin, Tanat, Kent and Daphne, whose work on TmVO4 was published in npj Quantum Materials. Former graduate student Kent Shirer used a plasma FIB at the Max Planck Institute in Dresden to shape a a crystal into an ellipsoid, in order to create a perfectly homogeneous internal magnetic field. This enabled postdoc Igor Vinograd to perform high resolution studies of the 51V spectrum, and study the coupling between the nematicity and magnetic field in this material. Current graduate student Zeppelin Wang, former graduate student Tanat Kissikov, and former REU student Daphne Garcia also contributed to this work. See here for more details.
